AACTION has begun it's pilot Service Learning Project. A classroom here in Chicago (home classroom) is going to develop friendships and learning materials for a school for individuals with autism in Guyana (Guyana Greenheart Autistic Society). The home classroom will also teach a unit to their students with autism about Guyana. The materials were created and donated by committed and generous autism teachers around the Chicago area.

In addition, the home classroom will be creating structured educational materials and sending them to their friends in Guyana. Check back to see the progress of this project, and let us know if you are interested in getting involved!
